CECILIA BROCK, Associate Curator LA, graduated with a Masters degree in Architecture from SCI_Arc and a Bachelors degree in Urban Design Studies from NYU. She has worked as a Junior Designer at several boutique architecture and design studios, as well as on various gallery exhibitions in Los Angeles. She finds influence in the cross-breeding of multiple fields, including everything from crafting culture to fine art and modern design.
WENDY GILMARTIN, Projects Director LA, is a designer and freelance writer based in Los Angeles, where she operates her own small practice and acts as the creative director for Citybuilt.org, an online database for urban phenomena. She holds a Masters degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Rice University.
GRACIELA HODGSON, Installation Coordinator, is a New Yorker residing in Los Angeles, despite her aversion to consistently sunny weather. She holds a Masters degree in Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI_Arc) and her work ranges from large scale installations to architectural design and fine art. Dystopian architecture of the 1970s and early expressions of Hip Hop culture are among her creative influences.
FARRAH KARAPETIAN, Pacific Design Center Liaison, is an artist based in Los Angeles. In her practice, she locates photographic imagery in the urban landscape and reconfigures it within the sculptural field. She holds a BA from Yale University and an MFA from UCLA and is represented by Sandroni Rey in Los Angeles.
MITCH MCEWEN, Director and Founder of SUPERFRONT, is an urban designer, curator, educator, and unlicensed architect. Her design work has been published in Architectural Record and her writings in African-American studies have been published in Souls: A Critical Journal of Black Politics, Culture and Society (IRAAS, Columbia University, 2007, 2010). After receiving the M.Arch degree from Columbia’s Graduate School of Architecture, Preservation and Planning (GSAPP) in 2006, she was invited to join the adjunct faculty of GSAPP as Adjunct Assistant Professor to create a new cross-disciplinary course for urban planners and urban designers. Since founding SUPERFRONT in January 2008, she has curated more than half a dozen exhibits and published 2 architectural catalogs, working with artists, historians, and architects from New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, Madrid and elsewhere. She holds an M. Arch from Columbia GSAPP and A.B. from Harvard.
